The Lodge

Stravaigin Lodge is designed for comfort and relaxation. With two double rooms and one twin room, it accommodates up to six guests, making it ideal for families or groups. The large lounge boasts magnificent mountain views and is equipped with a modern wall-mounted television for your entertainment. Our spacious kitchen features a dining table that seats six, along with a cooker, fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher, kettle, toaster, and a full set of cutlery and crockery.

The bathroom is fitted with a standard shower/bath arrangement, while the lodge also includes a washing machine and dryer for your convenience. Each room is equipped with electric wall-mounted heaters, ensuring warmth throughout your stay. The lodge is double-glazed and provides dedicated car parking spaces right next to it. Enjoy the outdoors on the large covered verandah, complete with a table and chairs, while a wooden gate keeps your little ones and well-behaved dogs safe. We provide quality linen and towels, and can accommodate a child's cot upon request. Please note that smoking is not permitted within the lodge.

 

 

How to Find Us

Stravaigin Lodge is situated six miles north of Dunoon on the A815. Our location is perfect for those travelling from Glasgow and beyond for a holiday in Dunoon, whether you prefer to drive or take the ferry.

By Car

From Glasgow, take the A82 towards Crianlarich, enjoying the scenic route along Loch Lomond. Continue to Tarbet and then turn onto the A83 towards Inverary. Once you pass Cairndow, turn left onto the A815, and you'll find Lamont Lodges on your left, just past Benmore Botanical Gardens. This journey takes approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes.

By Ferry

For a quicker option, choose the ferry from Gourock. Western Ferries operates a regular service from Hunter's Quay to McInroy's Point, just north of Dunoon. A brief 10-minute drive will bring you to our lodges. If you're cycling or travelling by train, the passenger ferry from Gourock train station to Dunoon pier is also a convenient choice. Ferry tickets can be purchased on board or at a lower price from Paul's Food & Wine in Gourock.
