How to Find Us

Located just six miles north of Dunoon on the A815, our Wilderness Lodge is easily accessible for those travelling from Glasgow and beyond. You can opt to drive or take the ferry, both of which offer scenic routes to our beautiful lodges.

By Car

From Glasgow, take the A82 towards Crianlarich, following the western shore of Loch Lomond. Continue until Tarbet, then take the A83 towards Inveraray. After passing Cairndow, turn left onto the A815, and you'll find Lamont Lodges on your left, just past Benmore Botanical Gardens. The drive takes approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes.

By Ferry

For a quicker journey, consider the Western Ferries service from Hunter's Quay to McInroy's Point, north of Dunoon. It's a short 10-minute drive from the ferry terminal to our lodges. If you're travelling by train or bicycle, the passenger-only ferry from Gourock train station to Dunoon pier is also convenient.

Ferry tickets can be purchased on board but are cheaper at Paul's Food & Wine in Gourock. Cyclists will be pleased to know that National Cycle Route 75 connects directly to Gourock, providing easy access to our lodges.
